Headline:  Pilar Signed To Re-enforce Slow Start

Mexico City -

The Burrito's are having a rough time so far this season.  Jeff Taffe has been the only real bright spot for the team to this point leading the team with points(15) and assists(8).  Cory Stillman has the lead in goals with 9, but doesn't seem to like to pass the puck anymore and has 0 assists to date.  Goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin hasn't had his best season to date, but he is not fully to blame as the team has 9 players who are currently slumping.  For a 25 player roster, this is pathetic after 11 games.  Even with that said, don't expect to see Caron between the pipes anytime soon.

On the bright side Karel Pilar is set to make his return to the Burrito's.  The addition of another solid defenseman could meant that someone could be headed out of town.  Pilar has been practicing with Andrew Ference, a player who has yet to reach his full potential with the team.  It is hoped that a new face will help Ference be the offensive force that management saw in him when they dealt for him last season.

48 Mike Rathje           1-     L  D    2  8  9  9  5  9  9  6  8  9  5  79

In return we are looking for a goaltender or a center.  We would also consider a lesser player combined with a future pick.
